Description

This course focuses on the integration of the behaviors essential for the transition from student to professional nurse and provides the student the opportunity to function in an immersion experience as a contributing member of the interprofessional team in which the student collectively applies the knowledge and practice of skills acquired in previous courses. Students will be given the opportunity to provide care to a caseload of clients that is safe, evidence based, client-centered, and focused on promoting positive client outcomes. During the didactic portion of the course, students will prepare to sit for their licensure exam and participate in a live Iicensure exam review. The didactic portion of the course will critically analyze health care issues and roles in relation to their influence on the nursing profession and nursing practice. This course is taught in a hybrid format.
Prerequisite: Admission to the nursing program and successful completion of all prerequisite courses
