Description

This course teaches the essential skills for safe and competent medication administration. It focuses on the components of safe medication calculation and administration with an emphasis on accuracy and critical thinking skills for client safety. The easy-to-navigate interactive learning course covers ratio and proportion, formula, fractional equation, and dimensional analysis methods of drug calculation through an engaging balance of instruction and application opportunities. Each module includes interactive case studies, animations, updated practice problems, voice-overs, self-assessment activities, quizzes, and more to reinforce students' understanding and ensure their mastery of the latest drug calculation best practices.
Prerequisite: Admission to the nursing program
