    Description

    This course emphasizes foundational financial knowledge for individuals who desire to study/teach finance, work in business/corporate finance, and work as personal financial analysts, planners, and wealth managers. It includes coverage of financial institutions and markets, financial decision-making tools, and financial investments/portfolio determination. In addition, the role of derivative financial securities, as related to both individual and corporate investments and risk mitigation, is studied and practiced. Ethical conduct of financial practitioners and the impacts of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) issues on financial operations and decisions are also studied.
