    Description

    This survey course will address the major events in world history from ancient history through 1500 by looking at connections through broad themes such as agriculture, technological change, social structures, transportation, migrations, gender roles, and political organization. The class will also consider various theories advanced by historians to effectively study world history. This is a required course for all students planning to teach secondary education social studies. Open to all freshmen. For majors, this will be categorized under the World concentration.
